Our Approach

Adiona Montessori House of Children provides a holistic and child-centred learning environment that emphasises intellectual, physical, moral, social, and emotional development equally. Our authentic Montessori approach offers a robust platform for a child's overall development, helping them become happy, independent, confident, and self-motivated individuals.

Our curriculum emphasises hands-on, experiential learning in a self-paced environment, and encourages children to explore their surroundings and learn through adult guidance, exploration and discovery. Children receive ample opportunities and freedom within limits to make their own choices and experience the results thereof. Our curriculum is organised around five key areas: Practical life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural studies.

Curriculum

Practical Life Skills are essential abilities for children to learn, and are taught through concrete exercises that they are familiar with seeing adults perform in their daily routines, such as pouring water or threading beads. These exercises provide children with real-life experience and indirectly prepare them for other areas of learning by helping to develop order, concentration, coordination, and independence. By mastering these skills, children develop self-respect and self-esteem, as well as fine motor skills and self-control. Additionally, they learn social awareness and how to effectively cooperate and interact with others in the classroom.
